Who am I?

​

I am an Englishman who has lived in Asia over half my life and have been lucky enough to have travelled the world with work and personal opportunities. From riding a motorbike around Scandinavia at 17 to driving a camper van around Europe at 18 and working on cruise ships at 21, life was always an adventure. I started my first business at 22 opening a summer language school on the Isle of Wight for Dutch and Italian students. My flying career started at 27 and  was promoted 2 years later to a Purser, shortly after that I became part time having the luxury of working a month on a month off where is when I started living and commuting from Thailand in 1997. I continued flying until 2007.

Life in Thailand

​

I started a part time property management and development company on Koh Samui and was involved in many large projects which has kept going until I left to live in Bangkok in 2007. I then managed the first, and very popular Spanish Tapas bar, and oversaw the construction and opening of the second venue 2 years later where I became the General Manager for the company. In 2011 I decided to go it alone and opened my own restaurant in Hua Hin which I had for 14 years. I started the property management and development again and oversaw many refurbishments and selling and managing of various properties. The complete experience has not only been memorable but thoroughly enjoyable over the years.

my hobbies

I like to run and swim everyday and enjoy cycling also. I am a sport enthusiast that likes to play and watch most sports. Being an animal lover I enjoy walking my dogs and spend time feeding the various strays I regularly see on my runs. Travel has always been a passion of mine so I like to jump on a plane as often as possible to see new places. I enjoy trying new restaurants and varying cuisines seeing what other establishments are doing .

My strong points

I am a forward thinking and proactive loyal person that likes to make things happen. I give everything I have to continually move forward and make a success of what I am doing. Listening, understanding and communication is a key factor of the way I work. Being reliable and someone who can be trusted is important to the way I want people to value me. I am a positive and happy person who enjoys challenges and feel that with my work and life experiences I have a lot to share with people I come into contact with. I have an eye for detail and like to encourage others to simply do their best and always look to improve.

I really enjoy restaurant consulting, helping others achieve their goals by looking at every part of their business and making improvements to all aspects from the customers expectations and experiences to the staff and procedures to the product and delivery. It’s a very in depth procedure that can only produce positive results.
